# Kiwitaxi

KiwiTaxi transfers in PHPTRAVELS: add your KiwiTaxi partner credentials in the cars module, test airport transfer search and booking, then go live.

### What KiwiTaxi is

KiwiTaxi is a transfer booking service for pre-booked airport and city transfers with local drivers. PHPTRAVELS lists KiwiTaxi as a supplier in the **Cars** module, so travellers can book a transfer on the same website where they book flights and hotels. KiwiTaxi is not related to the Kiwi.com flights module; see [Kiwi](https://docs.phptravels.com/modules/flights/kiwi) for flights.

### What you need

* An approved KiwiTaxi partner account with API access. KiwiTaxi sets the commission or net-rate terms.
* The API credentials KiwiTaxi issues to partners. Your KiwiTaxi partner manager can confirm the values for test and live use.
* Admin access to your PHPTRAVELS website.

### Configure it

1. Log in to the admin panel at `yourdomain.com/admin`.
2. Open **Settings > Modules** and select **Kiwitaxi** in the cars list.
3. On **General**, enable the module and keep **Dev mode** on development.
4. On **Credentials**, paste the KiwiTaxi values into the labelled fields, click **Test** if available, and save.
5. On **Markup**, add the margin for customers and for B2B agents.

### Test a transfer

1. Search a transfer from a major airport to a city-centre hotel for a date a few weeks ahead.
2. Check the vehicle types, passenger and luggage limits and the price with your markup.
3. Book a transfer with test details, including a flight number if the form asks for one.
4. Confirm the booking reference and voucher in the admin and in the customer email, including the meeting instructions.
5. Switch to live credentials and **Dev mode** production after the test.

### Common errors

* **No transfers found** -- the route is not covered, or the pick-up and drop-off points are too vague; use the airport name and a full address.
* **Credential test fails** -- re-copy the credentials and confirm the partner account is active.
* **Wrong passenger count** -- the chosen vehicle is too small; select a larger vehicle class.
* **Traveller cannot find the driver** -- make sure the voucher includes the meeting point text from the booking.
