{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/ECXOnKAWHMc>" %}

The complete process includes:

* Applying for Airalo partner access
* Getting API credentials
* Configuring Airalo inside PHPTRAVELS
* Testing the API connection
* Managing country packages
* Setting commission or markup
* Featuring eSIM destinations
* Selling eSIMs to customers
* Processing payments
* Delivering the eSIM QR code
* Managing eSIM bookings from the admin panel

***

### What Is Airalo?

Airalo is an eSIM provider designed for international travelers.

Instead of buying a physical SIM card after arriving in another country, travelers can purchase an eSIM digitally and install it directly on a compatible smartphone.

Customers can usually select:

* Destination country
* Data package
* Validity period
* Local or international package
* Supported network options

With the PHPTRAVELS Airalo integration, travel agencies can sell these eSIM packages directly from their own booking website.

***

### Airalo Integration with PHPTRAVELS

PHPTRAVELS connects with Airalo through its API.

Once configured, the integration allows your customers to:

1. Search for an eSIM destination
2. View available packages
3. Select a package
4. Pay directly on your website
5. Receive an issued eSIM
6. Scan the QR code to install the eSIM

Your agency can also add markup or commission to Airalo package prices.

***

### Requirements

Before starting, make sure you have:

* A working PHPTRAVELS installation
* Admin access to PHPTRAVELS
* The eSIM module enabled
* An approved Airalo partner account
* Airalo API Client ID
* Airalo API Secret Key
* A server with a public IP address
* A configured payment gateway
* USD enabled as a supported currency

***

## Step 1: Apply for an Airalo Partner Account

Visit:

<https://partners.airalo.com>

Click:

**Get Started**

During the signup process, select the option related to:

**Sell eSIMs**

Airalo will then ask how you want to offer connectivity.

You may see options such as:

* Sell directly
* Co-brand with Airalo
* Use your own brand

Select the option that best matches your business model.

***

## Step 2: Select Travel Booking as Your Platform Type

During the Airalo partner signup process, you will be asked what type of platform you are integrating with.

If you are using PHPTRAVELS, select:

**Travel Booking**

This correctly identifies your business as a travel booking platform.

***

## Step 3: Select Your Business Stage

Airalo may ask about the current stage of your business.

If your travel website is already operational, select:

**Live & Active**

Then continue with the signup process.

You may also be asked to provide information about:

* Website traffic
* Business activity
* Expected sales volume
* Company information
* Website URL

Complete the form accurately and submit it.

Airalo will review your application and contact you regarding approval.

***

## Recommended Contact for Faster Airalo Partner Support

PHPTRAVELS customers may directly contact:

**Rao Suhaib Khan**\
**Head of Partnerships, Airalo**

Email:

**<rao.khan@airalo.com>**

When contacting Airalo, mention that you are using **PHPTRAVELS** as your travel booking platform.

This can help Airalo understand your integration requirements and guide you through the partner approval process.

***

## Step 4: Sign In to Your Airalo Partner Account

After Airalo approves your partner account, sign in to your Airalo partner dashboard.

From the dashboard, open:

**API Integration**

This section contains the credentials required to connect Airalo with PHPTRAVELS.

***

## Step 5: Copy the Airalo API Credentials

Inside the API Integration section, locate:

* API Client ID
* API Secret Key

Copy both values.

Keep these credentials private.

Do not publish them in:

* Screenshots
* Public Git repositories
* Documentation
* Blog posts
* Public support tickets
* Frontend JavaScript

***

## Step 6: Whitelist Your Server IP if Required

Depending on your Airalo account configuration, your server IP may need to be whitelisted.

If the API does not return a response or requests are being blocked, verify your server's public IP address and whitelist it inside your Airalo partner account if required.

Make sure you whitelist the server that is hosting your PHPTRAVELS installation.

***

## Step 7: Open the eSIM Module Settings in PHPTRAVELS

Log in to your PHPTRAVELS admin panel.

Navigate to:

**Settings → Modules → eSIM Settings**

The Airalo configuration page will open.

***

## Step 8: Add the Airalo API Credentials

Enter:

* Airalo API Client ID
* Airalo API Secret Key

Use the credentials copied from your Airalo partner account.

For currency, we recommend using:

**USD**

USD is the preferred base currency for the Airalo integration and generally provides the most consistent pricing workflow.

After entering the credentials, click:

**Test API Keys**

***

## Step 9: Test the Airalo API Connection

PHPTRAVELS will attempt to connect to Airalo.

If the connection is successful, the system will confirm that the credentials are working.

If the connection fails, check:

* API Client ID
* API Secret Key
* Airalo account approval
* IP whitelist
* Server firewall
* Outbound HTTPS access
* Currency configuration
* API permissions

Do not continue until the API connection is successful.

***

## Step 10: Open the Airalo Database

After the API credentials are verified, click:

**Database**

This section allows you to manage Airalo destinations and eSIM packages.

You will see countries available through the integration.

From here, you can:

* Search countries
* View packages
* Set pricing rules
* Apply markup
* Apply commission
* Enable featured destinations

***

## Step 11: View Packages for a Country

Search for any country.

For example:

**Pakistan**

Click:

**Packages**

You will see the available Airalo eSIM packages for that destination.

Packages may contain information such as:

* Data allowance
* Validity period
* Package type
* Supplier price

You can then configure your own selling price.

***

## Step 12: Add Commission or Markup

PHPTRAVELS allows you to add your own profit margin to Airalo packages.

You can configure:

* Fixed commission
* Percentage commission

For example, if the Airalo supplier price is:

`$10`

and you add:

`$1 fixed commission`

your customer-facing selling price can become:

`$11`

Your agency keeps the markup difference according to your configured pricing rules.

***

## Fixed vs Percentage Commission

### Fixed Commission

Adds a fixed amount to the supplier price.

Example:

Supplier price: `$10`

Fixed commission: `$2`

Selling price: `$12`

### Percentage Commission

Adds a percentage to the supplier price.

Example:

Supplier price: `$10`

Commission: `20%`

Selling price: `$12`

Choose the pricing model that works best for your business.

***

## Step 13: Configure Global Pricing Rules

PHPTRAVELS can also apply pricing rules across multiple destinations or categories.

Depending on your configuration, you may see pricing options such as:

* Rule 1
* Rule 2
* Rule 3
* Global markup
* Country-level markup
* Package-level markup

This allows you to manage pricing without editing every package individually.

***

## Step 14: Update the Database

After configuring:

* API credentials
* Pricing
* Commission
* Markup
* Country settings

Click the available update or database synchronization option.

This refreshes your local eSIM data with the latest Airalo information.

***

## Step 15: Configure Featured eSIM Destinations

PHPTRAVELS allows you to feature selected eSIM destinations on your homepage.

From the eSIM database section, search for the required country.

You can then enable or disable:

**Featured**

Featured countries can be displayed more prominently on your website.

This is useful for high-demand destinations such as:

* UAE
* USA
* UK
* Turkey
* Saudi Arabia
* Thailand
* Europe
* Other popular destinations

***

## Step 16: Test the Customer Booking Flow

After completing the configuration, open your PHPTRAVELS frontend.

Customers can access eSIM products from:

* Homepage featured section
* eSIM search
* Dedicated eSIM page
* Country listings

For example, a customer may select:

**Estonia**

and click:

**See Packages**

The customer will then see the available eSIM packages.

***

## Step 17: Select an eSIM Package

Customers can view available packages for the selected destination.

A package may include:

* Data allowance
* Validity period
* Price
* Local or international coverage

For example:

**1 GB for 7 days**

The customer selects the package and proceeds to checkout.

***

## Step 18: Customer Payment

The customer completes payment using any supported payment gateway configured in PHPTRAVELS.

For example:

**Stripe**

After successful payment:

* Booking is confirmed
* Payment status becomes paid
* Transaction ID is recorded
* Airalo order is processed

***

## Step 19: Airalo Issues the eSIM

Once the payment and booking are successfully completed, Airalo issues the eSIM.

The system receives the eSIM installation information, including a QR code or barcode.

The customer can scan the QR code using a compatible smartphone.

This installs the eSIM profile directly onto the device.

***

## Step 20: Customer Installs the eSIM

The customer can scan the issued QR code from the booking confirmation.

The phone will then begin the eSIM installation process.

The exact setup steps may vary depending on:

* iPhone
* Android
* Samsung
* Google Pixel
* Other supported devices

The customer should make sure the device supports eSIM before purchasing.

***

## Step 21: Manage eSIM Bookings in Admin

PHPTRAVELS administrators can manage eSIM bookings from:

**Bookings**

The booking record may include:

* Booking ID
* PNR or reference
* Customer information
* Payment status
* Transaction ID
* Supplier details
* eSIM information
* Selling price
* Markup earnings
* Invoice

This allows your agency to manage eSIM sales like other PHPTRAVELS booking modules.

***

## Agency Markup Earnings

PHPTRAVELS records the price difference between the supplier cost and customer selling price.

For example:

Supplier cost: `$10`

Customer price: `$11`

Agency markup: `$1`

This gives travel agencies an additional revenue stream from eSIM sales.

***

## Dedicated eSIM Page

PHPTRAVELS provides a dedicated eSIM page where customers can browse available destinations.

The page can include:

* Country search
* Destination list
* Package listings
* Pricing
* Package validity
* Booking options

Customers can search directly for the country they are traveling to.

***

## SEO Benefits

The dedicated eSIM page can also help generate organic search traffic.

Travelers frequently search for keywords such as:

* eSIM for Europe
* eSIM for Dubai
* eSIM for USA
* international eSIM
* travel eSIM
* eSIM for tourists
* prepaid eSIM
* eSIM data plans

By enabling eSIM products on your PHPTRAVELS website, your agency can target additional travel-related search traffic.

***

## Why Travel Agencies Should Sell eSIMs

eSIM is a strong travel ancillary because international travelers usually need mobile internet.

Adding eSIM to your website can help you:

* Increase revenue per customer
* Add another travel service
* Improve customer convenience
* Create cross-selling opportunities
* Offer instant digital delivery
* Increase website traffic
* Improve customer retention
* Reduce dependency on physical SIM cards

* Airalo pricing
* API limits
* Partner conditions
* Package availability
* Mobile network coverage
* eSIM activation
* Supplier balance
* Airalo API uptime

Never expose:

* API Client ID
* API Secret Key

inside public frontend code.

Always use server-side authentication.

Also:

* Use HTTPS
* Secure your admin panel
* Keep PHPTRAVELS updated
* Protect server credentials
