### Agoda setup in writing

Agoda is an online travel platform with a large catalogue of hotels, homes and apartments, especially across Asia. PHPTRAVELS includes an Agoda connector in the **Stays** module. It calls the Agoda partner API with your own credentials, so Agoda rooms show in your hotel search next to your direct contracts and other suppliers.

### Credentials you need

* Membership of the Agoda partner programme for your business. Agoda approves partners; PHPTRAVELS cannot create the account for you.
* The **site ID** and **API key** Agoda gives you in the partner account. Keep them private.

### Where to paste them

1. Log in to your admin panel at `yourdomain.com/admin`.
2. Go to **Settings > Modules** and open **Agoda**.
3. On **General**, enable the module. Keep **Dev mode** on development until the test booking below works.
4. On **Credentials**, enter the site ID and API key in the labelled fields, press **Test** if available, and save.
5. On **Markup**, add your B2C margin and, if you run the agent portal, a B2B margin.

### Check that it works

1. Search a destination where Agoda is strong, such as Bangkok or Singapore.
2. Open a property and compare room, board and cancellation terms with Agoda.
3. Complete a booking in test mode and check the confirmation, the Agoda reference in the admin and the customer voucher.
4. Cancel it and make sure the status updates in the admin.
5. Switch **Dev mode** to production when everything matches.

### Common errors

* **No Agoda results** -- the module is off, the site ID or API key is wrong, or the account is not yet approved for API use.
* **Authorisation error** -- re-enter the key without spaces or line breaks.
* **Price check fails before payment** -- the room was re-priced or sold out; search again.
* **Old links** -- this page used to live at /modules/hotels/agoda; always link to /modules/stays/agoda.
