# Tiqets

Tiqets API for PHPTRAVELS: add your Tiqets distributor API key, sell museum and attraction tickets with time slots and test orders before going live.

### What Tiqets is

Tiqets is a ticketing platform for museums, attractions and experiences that distributes tickets to travel companies through an API. PHPTRAVELS lists Tiqets as a supplier in the **Tours** module. Once connected, Tiqets products appear in your tours search with live dates, time slots and ticket types, next to the tours you run yourself and other activity suppliers such as Viator.

### What you need

* An approved Tiqets distributor account. Tiqets reviews applications and sets the commercial terms.
* The **API key** Tiqets issues to distributors, for the sandbox first and production later.
* Admin access to your installed and licensed PHPTRAVELS site.

### Add the key in the admin

1. Log in at `yourdomain.com/admin`.
2. Go to **Settings > Modules** and open **Tiqets** in the tours list.
3. On **General**, enable the module and keep **Dev mode** on development (sandbox).
4. On **Credentials**, paste the Tiqets API key. Click **Test** if it is shown, then save.
5. On **Markup**, set the margin added to each ticket for public customers and for agents.

### Test the flow

1. Search a city with strong Tiqets coverage, such as Amsterdam or Paris.
2. Open a product and check the description, photos and what is included.
3. Pick a date and time slot and choose adult and child tickets.
4. Complete a sandbox order and confirm that the Tiqets reference is stored on the booking and the ticket and voucher are emailed.
5. Switch to the production key and **Dev mode** production only after the sandbox order looks right.

### Common errors

* **Key rejected** -- the key is for the other environment or was copied with spaces.
* **Time slot sold out at checkout** -- availability is confirmed with Tiqets before payment; pick another slot.
* **No products for a city** -- Tiqets may not cover that destination; check another city to confirm the connection works.
* **Ticket not received** -- check your email settings under Startup > Setup > Email Settings and the booking in the admin.
