# Wallet Balance

Wallet balance in PHPTRAVELS: customers and B2B agents top up a wallet, then pay for flights, hotels and other bookings from that balance at checkout.

Wallet balance in PHPTRAVELS lets customers and B2B agents top up a wallet, then pay for flights, hotels and other bookings from that balance at checkout. Agents commonly use wallets with credit limits in the B2B portal.

Parent: [Payments](https://docs.phptravels.com/payments). Related: [Credits](https://docs.phptravels.com/payments/credits).

### Who can top up

* **Customers** -- Where consumer wallets are enabled, users add funds and spend them on bookings.
* **B2B agents** -- Agents top up or receive credit; bookings deduct from wallet; ledgers track top-ups and sales.

Commercial features such as agent credit limits and per-channel prices are part of the B2B / agent tooling described on phptravels.com product pages.

### Prerequisites

* Wallet payment method enabled
* Payment gateway available for top-ups (if users add funds online)
* Roles configured so only intended users see wallet pay

### Admin settings

1. Enable **Wallet** / **Wallet balance** under payment methods or agent settings for your version.
2. Confirm which user roles may pay from wallet.
3. For agents: set credit limit / initial balance per agent or agent group as your process requires.
4. Save and verify the wallet panel appears in the agent or customer account.

### Test: top up and pay

1. Sign in as a test agent or customer.
2. Top up the wallet (or have an admin set a test balance).
3. Create a booking and choose **Wallet balance** at payment.
4. Confirm booking succeeds and wallet balance decreases.
5. Open admin / agent ledger and confirm the movement is recorded.

### How a wallet payment shows on the booking

* Payment method: wallet / wallet balance
* Amount deducted listed on the booking payment lines
* Updated balance on the user or agent profile
* Agent commission / net rates still apply as configured; wallet is the settlement method

### Refunds to wallet

Refund wallet-paid bookings back to the wallet balance so the ledger stays consistent. Document any exception (refund to bank instead) in your finance process.

### Wallet vs credits

If your admin shows both, treat **wallet** as the prepaid balance users top up, and **credits** as account credit you issue. See [Credits](https://docs.phptravels.com/payments/credits) for the credit-specific guide.
