# Download

### Download PHPTRAVELS step by step

After your purchase, the PHPTRAVELS release package is available in your account in the client area. Downloading it is the first of the four [Product](https://docs.phptravels.com/startup/product) steps: download, install, update and activate your licence.

### What you need

* Your login for [app.phptravels.com](https://app.phptravels.com/): the email and password used for the purchase.
* A completed order for the product and plan you bought.
* Somewhere safe to keep the zip file, such as your computer or a private cloud folder.

### Steps

1. Go to [app.phptravels.com](https://app.phptravels.com/) and sign in. Use **Forgot Password?** if you need a reset link.
2. From your dashboard, open **Orders** in the left menu.
3. Open the order for the product you want to install.
4. Download the package for your order, as shown in the video above.
5. Note your **Order ID** while you are on the order. You will need it to activate the licence after installation.
6. Keep the original zip and the version number for your records. It helps when you later update or ask support for help.

### After downloading

* Check that the server meets the requirements: PHP 8.2 or later, MySQL or MariaDB, and Composer. Shared hosting is often not enough; a VPS or cloud server is recommended.
* Unzip the package into your website's public folder (for example `public_html`) and run the installer at `https://yourdomain.com/install`. See [Installation](https://docs.phptravels.com/startup/product/installation).
* Activate the licence with your Order ID. See [Activate Your License Key](https://docs.phptravels.com/startup/product/activate-your-license-key).

### Common problems

* **I cannot sign in** -- use the email address from the purchase, or reset your password.
* **I do not see my order** -- you may be signed in with a different account; check the purchase confirmation email.
* **The download is incomplete or the zip will not open** -- download it again on a stable connection and check the file size.
* **Not sure which version to install** -- use the newest package in your order unless support tells you otherwise.
