# Setup

PHPTRAVELS setup guides: email sending with SMTP or SMTP2Go, currencies and exchange rates, languages, the powered-by linkback and your license first.

**License :** before getting into configuration make sure you have valid license for your purchase product to have complete access of product.

After the product is installed and licensed, configure the basics that every live site needs: email delivery, currencies, languages, SSL and the powered-by linkback.

### Setup checklist (recommended order)

1. **License** -- Activate with your Order ID so all features unlock.
2. **Email (SMTP or SMTP2Go)** -- So booking vouchers, password resets and admin alerts send reliably.
3. **Currencies and exchange rates** -- Display and charge in the currencies your markets use.
4. **Languages** -- Enable the languages your customers need.
5. **Force SSL / HTTPS** -- Serve the site over HTTPS end to end.
6. **Powered-by / linkback** -- Configure the linkback/branding rule that applies to your license plan.

Work top to bottom. Email and license problems cause most "site looks fine but nothing sends / nothing unlocks" tickets.
