# Languages Management

### Written steps

Selling in your customers' own language builds trust and improves conversion. PHPTRAVELS lets you run the same booking website in several languages, including right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Urdu, and lets you edit every translated phrase.

### Before you start

* Admin access to your PHPTRAVELS website.
* A list of the languages your markets need.
* For languages you add yourself, a translator or native speaker to check the wording, especially for booking terms, cancellation text and payment messages.

### Add or edit a language

1. Log in to the admin panel at `yourdomain.com/admin`.
2. Open the languages management screen shown in the video.
3. To add a language, create it with its name and code, choose left-to-right or right-to-left, and enable it.
4. To edit wording, open the language and change the translated phrases. Keep placeholders, variables and HTML tags exactly as they are.
5. Save, then set the default language for your website if needed.

The video also shows how to edit language files directly. Back up any file before you change it, and keep a copy of your edits so you can re-apply them after an update.

### How to test

* Open your website and switch languages with the language selector.
* Check the home page, search results, booking form, voucher email and invoice in each language.
* For right-to-left languages, check that menus and forms mirror correctly.
* Book a test product in a non-default language and confirm the emails use it.

### Common errors

* **New language not in the selector** -- it is not enabled, or the page is cached; clear the cache.
* **Some text still in English** -- the phrase is not translated yet, or it comes from a supplier API in English.
* **Broken layout or "undefined" text** -- a placeholder or tag was deleted while translating; restore it from the original phrase.
* **Edits lost after updating** -- language files were overwritten; re-apply your saved changes.
